Who runs NavoFin

NavoFin is written, researched and operated by Caleb Larocque. Caleb researches and compares Canadian credit cards using issuer-published rates, fees and eligibility requirements, and publishes the working behind each conclusion so readers can check it themselves. NavoFin is operated by Caleb Larocque as an Ontario sole proprietor, and the NavoFin business name is registered in Ontario.

NavoFin is not a bank, broker, dealer or licensed advisory firm, and nobody here holds a financial-planner or financial-adviser credential. Everything published here is general information, not personal financial advice.

What we publish

Every article is a comparison, explainer or worked example built on publicly available issuer terms and reward-program rules. NavoFin does not publish sponsored posts, paid reviews, or content written by financial institutions.

Methodology

• Product facts — annual fees, earn rates, category caps, published income requirements, FX fees and insurance — come from the issuer's own public pages, which are linked at the bottom of each article.
• Rankings are based on effective annual value (rewards minus the annual fee) at a clearly stated spending profile. When a conclusion depends on an assumption, the assumption is stated next to it.
• Approval is always subject to the issuer's underwriting. NavoFin can report published eligibility requirements, but cannot predict whether any individual will be approved.
• Each article carries a published date, an updated date and a last-verified date.

Corrections

Issuers change offers frequently and mistakes happen. If something here is wrong or out of date, email help@navofin.ca and it will be corrected, with the change noted on the article's updated date.
